The Halfmoon Betta is a magnificent sight to behold! At the sight of another of his kind, the gills flare out and his fins snap up and out like a fan, forming a flowing circle of color about his body. Like a showy peacock he struts for the ladies and intimidates his rival. The ideal Halfmoon has great color, symmetry and balance, and are the mark of a beautiful Betta, worthy of showing.
Located in San Antonio, Texas we breed quality Halfmoon Bettas for showing at IBC shows all across the United States. Our fish are consistent winners at the shows and we offer nicely nicely bred fish for sale to other breeders and hobbyist on AquaBid.
Our web site is for those that desire to raise quality bettas, hopefully to show at the IBC shows. Not only will we will feature articles on raising live foods, breeding and housing bettas but we will also present discussion on what makes a quality betta. In time I hope this site will be a reference for showing and breeding bettas. Initially we will feature for sale our own stock. In time I would like to include other US breeders so anyone looking to purchase fish can see what is for sale that does not need imported.

Our Blog
Years ago when I first started I created a blog to record the progress of my Betta breeding. It also is a place to share many of the lessons I have learned. I have moved across country, dealt with bad water conditions, disease and my own learning curve. If you wander over to the site you can do searches on breeding, live foods, barracks and just about anything else Betta.

Showing bettas you have bred and raised yourself is lot of fun. Sending home bred and raised fish to a show to be judged against the IBC standard and other breeders is very exciting and the ribbons make all those failed spawns and water changes worth while.
